I really don’t care what kind of blogs you have, This deserves a reblog

man the last image really got me..

The second to last really killed me.

A simple thing we see frequently on the Internet being put into the perspective of real life.

The last one put me to tears all I can think is my grandpa and how much I miss him

reality

This makes me sad… I just,…

The second to last and last picture made me burst into tears

Although I might not agree with the politicians in the White House, I seriously respect citizens who volunteers their life to the military for the greater good. I don’t think i’d ever be strong enough in my beliefs to sacrifice myself like that.

Your support gives us strength… And this post is the most true thing ever, thank you OP, I appreciate this.

Tremondous respect

Last week, I swung by Harbour Freight to pick up this power sander  Boy, does it do the trick!  It’s like a giant Dremel, almost.  I realized that I had made the leg WAY too thick, so I am slowly grinding it back down.  The sander isn’t very ergonomic, and due to my wrist injury, I can only use it for short amounts of time.  I’ve been trying to do about 20 minutes at the start of my sessions and 10 or 15 minutes at the end.

I was pretty tired this weekend, so I focused on some of the more simple shapes.  I got the tail covered and got a really nice start on the torso.  I am really starting to get used to the clay.  Working with broad shapes is becoming a lot quicker for me.  Getting a smooth finish is very difficult, though.  I will be relying on my sander a good bit.  Many of these areas will also be covered with leaves and moss, eventually.

I also got started on the large bark-like scales on the underside of the dragon.  These are really fun to make and are shaping perfectly.  I hope this trend will continue as I move on to the larger scales.
